SUPPORT GETTING GOAT MEAT ON AUSSIE PLATES!!!

February 2023: There has been an overreliance on overseas markets for meat and livestock export. The recent price correction was going to occur and this price drop has been exacerbated by not focusing more on building a consistent supply chain within Australia. This should be the primary goal for the sector in the long term is to grow the Australian goat meat industry for Australian consumption.

Feb 2023: Culberts Meats DALBY QLD. Culberts meats have produced and butchered their own goats for years and the interest in goat meat consumption continues to grow. The increasing demand has meant they needed better sires to improve their end product and improve their profit margins hence they bought some serious sires at the Pinnacle Boer Goat Sale, St George QLD 2023.

Prices for cattle and lamb have also dropped, but goat meat still has so much more potential to grow where beef and lamb are in every supermarket meat section. This is a great opportunity for many key stakeholders including the Australian meat consumer.
